Finger Palm (Scientific – Rhapis Excelsa | Sin – රාපිස් එක්සෙල්සා) a delightful fan palm, with large, thick leaves, that are wider than many other palms and blunt tipped. Rhapis excelsa bears rhizome offshoots, leading to clusters of upright stems, perfect for a flourish of lush interior greenery. Thick fibres envelop new stems, these fall away in time to reveal bamboo-like trunks, and give the palm its other common name: Bamboo Palm.
The plant has proven successful in removing airborne toxins within the home, including ammonia, formaldehyde, xylene, and carbon dioxide. Unlike other plants, who simply make oxygen, Rhapis excelsa will actually make the air in your home cleaner and safer to breathe. 5 Large Size Plant.
